Nancy Richards sits down with author Ekow Duker in the latest episode of the Country Life Podcast.
Ekow’s fourth book Yellowbone (Kwela) follows the story of Karabo, a young woman from Mthatha who is awarded a scholarship to study in London. While attending a private recital, she meets André Potgieter, a troubled violinist who is visited by angels and will do everything he can to keep seeing them.
In the latest episode of the Country Life Podcast, Nancy chats to Ekow about his musical influences growing up as well as the importance of the violin in Yellowbone.

Being freelance means turning your hand to anything – which is why if I’m asked, I answer to: writer, journalist, radio or print, stylist, podcaster, media trainer, women’s activist, speaker, secretary – and in a low key kind of way, author. I’m also founder of an organisation called Woman Zone. But if you think I can help with anything else, don’t hesitate to ask.
