What to look forward to

This awe inspiring documentary is narrated by Ewan McGregor, but the real stars of the show are the mysterious humpbacks. The filmmakers join a crew of scientists and researchers as they investigate their acrobatic displays, intelligence and determine how these once endangered animals have been able to fight themselves back from extinction.

It was filmed in Alaska, Hawaii and Tonga, but that’s not the most interesting thing about it. The fact that it was shot with IMAX 3D cameras puts it in a league of its own. Humpback Whales takes you closer to these peaceful animals than ever before. Footage includes whales singing, chatting feeding and connecting with their young.
