Wildlife encounters can be a life-changing experience, but, as park rangers tend to warn before any interaction takes place, you always need to keep in mind that wild animals are highly unpredictable, even when bred in captivity, or are familiar with the concept of human interaction.
Two recent incidents have sparked a debate whether these kind of interactions should be allowed in the first place.
A 14-year old boy was attacked by a cheetah at the Emdoneno Lodge in Zululand, while Peggy Lio, a student from Macau, was attached the day before at the same lodge.
Watch the video below and make up your own mind. The footage isn’t graphic, but we doubt you’ll want to get up close and personal with a cheetah after watching it.
