Rhino Horns Confiscated at OR Tambo Airport

Two bags of rhino horns were confiscated at OR Tambo International Airport.

Officials discovered the bags during security scans. The bags were reportedly on their way to Turkey.

Ten horns were found, worth an estimated R5 million.

Two suspects are reportedly in custody and the bags have been handed over to the police.

This follows a series of devastating rhino poaching incidents that occurred during May, including the brutal killing of a mother and her calf.
