In case you didn’t know, Sangria is a very popular alcoholic beverage in South Africa and today (20 December) it’s celebrated across the planet. Okay, only in America, but who wouldn’t want to join in the festivities.
It’s basically a punch and it is of Spanish and Portuguese origin. It’s also ridiculously easy to make and cheap – depending on the wine you use.
3 Parts Red Wine
1 Part Orange Juice
2 Parts Lemonade (Sprite works just as well)
Lots of sliced fruit, such as oranges, apples, grapes, etc.
Lots of ice, as sangria is best enjoyed cold.
You chuck all of the ingredients together and let it cool down. For the best flavour experience, leave it in the fridge overnight.
