RECIPE: Chef Tyobeka’s Duo pepper soup

This clever soup is a very attractive addition to any dinner table. By creating two different coloured, but similar ingredient, soups Chef Marcia Tyobeka of the Fig Tree Restaurant is able to create a delightful starter which tastes good and makes a statement.

The soup itself is very easy to make, as, in Chef Tyobeka’s style, it blends together a few very simple ingredients to create a greater effect.

As a starter, it’s ideal for health-conscious individuals particularly now during the Covid-19 lockdown. Peppers contain 200% of a person’s daily vitamin C intake. They are also packed with antioxidants and are a great source of vitamin B6 and folate.
