EDITOR’S LETTER: On the future of Country Life

Nita HazellDear Reader

It is with a heavy heart that I write to tell you that the June issue of COUNTRY LIFE, which goes on sale on Monday 18 May, is the last print issue of the magazine.

Despite this devastating news I remain cautiously optimistic that Country Life can live on in some format, and we will exhaust all avenues before bidding  you a final farewell. The editorial team is carrying on regardless and working on the July issue, which might or might not be published. If it doesn’t go to print, we will publish online as a parting gift to our readers who have shown such loyalty and such passion for the magazine. We also continue operating on our full range of digital platforms, so head to our website countrylife.co.za and find loads of stories, podcasts, videos and news on your favourite topics.

The team and I have been overwhelmed by messages following the announcement that this might be the end of COUNTRY LIFE, our trusted and beloved travelling companion on the back roads of our beautiful countryside. Thank you for your support and good wishes.

Hope springs.
