Every week, COUNTRY LIFE posts a video of the latest nature documentaries or popular films being released. This week, we’re showing a short video titled: South Africa – A World in One Country, by Jeroen Schrage.
Jeroen Schrage is a 26 year-old cinematographer from the Netherlands. While on holiday in South Africa over November and December, he filmed for over 3 600 kilometres in a rental car, using a drone and taking helicopter rides to record the trip.
The locations he covered include Kleinmond Penguin’s colony in Cape Town‚ Hartbeespoort Dam‚ Blyde River Canyon‚ the Ann van Dyk Cheetah Centre‚ giraffes at Naval Hill in Bloemfontein‚ the Kruger National Park, and Sabie River Lodge.
“The country has beautiful landscapes and wildlife. I have travelled to other parts of the world, but Africa has stolen my heart. The people‚ culture‚ food and natural landscape is amazing‚” said Schrage.
“It was my first time on a helicopter and I filmed using a stabiliser‚” said Schrage.
