Google has launched the latest version of Google Earth, which is set to be a time waster of note.
No longer just an app, Google Earth can be accessed via simply visiting the website.
Not only can you now explore any address in Virtual Reality with a VR headset. This feature is especially nice if you’d like to check the location of a place you’d like to visit, or if you’re feeling nostalgic about the house you grew up in.
Google Earth offers sightseers the option of visiting 27 locations, including the Amazon rainforest, Table Mountain and base camp at Mount Everest in glorious 3D.
Also new is the Voyager feature, which saw Google team up with the likes of the BBC and DigitalEarth to get fact cards, video tours and information on the region you’re visiting. At the moment there are only around 50 locations that include this feature, but Google will soon be uploading more.
And if you’re simply in the mood for browsing around, try the new “I’m Feeling Lucky” button.
