Share your flower pics with us and you could win yourself a weekend away at Gondwana Game Reserve worth R18 000 as well as loads of other prizes from West Coast Tourism.

West Coast wildflower season is back and in celebration of this blooming beautiful season we want you to share your pictures with us. So next time you head out on a West Coast jaunt, keep your camera handy. If you’re not heading to this side of the country over wildflower season, we still want to see your pics. So whether you’re hiking the Kranzkloof Nature Reserve in KwaZulu-Natal, picnicking at the Walter Sisulu Botanical Gardens in Johannesburg or doing a bit of gardening in the backyard, share your flower pictures with us and you could win.

How to enter

Share your wildflower posts with us by using the hashtag #TravelLikeALocalZA in your snaps on Facebook, Instagram or Twitter and you could be a lucky winner.

The SA COUNTRY LIFE team will then gather up all these snaps and choose the winners.

What you can win

First Prize

The lucky winner of our wildflower competition will win a two-night stay for two people at Gondwana Game Reserve in Mossel Bay worth R18 000. This includes all meals and two game drives per day as well as a Botanical Conservation Experience.

Runner-up prizes

One lucky family could win themselves a fun filled two-night getaway with Duinepos Chalets, Die Strandloper Seafood Restaurant and the West Coast Fossil Park worth R4 576. The prize includes two nights’ accommodation midweek at the Duinepos Chalets for four, a voucher for a complimentary 10-course meal for four at Die Strandloper and a guided tour of the West Coast Fossil Park for four.

The team at !Khwa ttu has given us a two-night stay for two in one of their Luxury Guesthouses worth R4 550. The prize includes accommodation and a San Guided Experience game drive for two.

One reader could win a stay at the Windtown Lagoon and Hotel in Langebaan to the value of R3 800. The prize includes two nights’ accommodation for two in a standard room, breakfast and SUP hire.

You could also win an Yzerfontein Accommodation voucher for two nights for two people at Kariza worth R2 100. The prize includes accommodation.

Botuin Cottage has given us a two-night stay for two worth R1 500 to give away to one reader. The prize includes accommodation and a four-hour guided birding tour.

L7 Craft Beer has given us a six-pack of its premium handcrafted beer to give away to one of our lucky winners. Valued at R1 080, the prize includes six bottles of L7 Craft Beer, a carrier case and six napkins.

!Khwa ttu San Culture and Education Centre

The !Khwa ttu San Heritage Centre’s aim is to reclaim and share San culture and heritage. Based in beautifully restored old farm buildings just an hour outside of Cape Town on the Grootwater Farm, the centre is slowly trying to return the land to its natural state by reintroducing indigenous wildlife. Today the centre offers accommodation, ebiking and guided walks. There’s even a restaurant and gallery. You can also join a herbal tea tasting and San language session.
