Robertson Wine Valley invites you to the Wine on the River Festival.
Robertson Wine Valley is hosting its 14th Wine on the River festival from 11 to 13 October 2019. With 22 wine farms, craftspeople and chefs in attendance, the event promises to delight the senses of all wine enthusiasts.
What to Look Forward to
This year’s Wine Theatre will be hosted by radio personality and wine connoisseur Jon Meinking and chef Wanda Cronje. Join them as they take guests through unique wine tastings and food pairings. Sample the wines on show and find a new favourite or stock up on an old faithful at the wine boutique shop. If you opt for VIP access, you’ll gain access to the Nedbank Lounge and receive all kinds of goodies and treats. Hop on a boat cruise or book a wine safari and explore the nearby farms.
Take a stroll among the stalls showcasing local produce, artisanal fare as well as uniquely crafted goodies. There’ll be live music to keep you entertained and a children’s area.
If you’re looking to get the blood pumping, then head to the Van Loveren Family Vineyards for the Java MTB Challenge on 12 October. Choose your poison from the 20km, 45km and 65km MTB trails, or take it easy on the 6km fun ride. If mountain biking is not your thing, sign up for the 10km or 15km trail run. Enter online through Entrytime.
Not keen on driving? Robertson Wine Valley has organised shuttle services from central spots in the five towns for those who’d like to indulge.
