Exploring Agulhas National Park

Nestled right at the most southern point of Africa, lies the Agulhas National Park. Probably most famous for the lighthouse and the beacon that marks the point where the Indian and Atlantic oceans meet, Agulhas has heaps of stuff going on for those that look beyond the ‘Kodak moments’.

SANParks Times Editor, Petro Kotzé went exploring and shares her beautiful photographs with us.

“My trip included a stop at the Springfield saltpans to peek at pink flamingos, peering at the underwater life in a tidal pool at the restcamp, visiting some of the fish traps scattered along the coast and a drive along the rehabilitated wetlands that are some of the main reasons for this national park’s proclamation.” – Petro Kotzé
