Herbie the loggerhead turtle was released back into the wild earlier this year.
On 22 January, the South African Association for Marine Biological Research (SAAMBR) together with Nature, Environment & Wildlife Filmmakers Congress, Two Oceans Aquarium, Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife, iSimangaliso Wetland Park, Dr. George Hughes and Dr. Gcina Mhlope returned Herbie to the ocean following 16 years of rehabilitation.
